James D. Rosener, President
Mr. Rosener is the president of the European American Chamber of Commerce New York. He also is a director of the Chambre de Commerce Franco-Americain, the Institute of French Culture at the University of Pennsylvania and a member of the board the European-American Chamber of Commerce Paris Chapter.
James D. Rosener is a partner in the Commercial Department of Pepper Hamilton LLP a founding member of the EACC in New York. He heads the firm’s International Practice Group, is managing partner of the New York office and has served as a member of the firm’s Executive Committee. His practice is devoted primarily to international transactions, private equity, mergers and acquisitions and corporate financing.
Mr. Rosener holds a B.S. from Lehigh University, an M.B.A. from Fairleigh Dickinson University at Madison and a J.D. degree Delaware Law School (since been renamed Widener University School of Law). He is a member of the bars of Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York and is admitted to the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and the District of New Jersey and to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. He has published numerous articles and lectures around the world frequently on legal issues relating to transatlantic business.
Yvonne Bendinger-Rothschild, Executive Director
Yvonne joined the European American Chamber of Commerce New York Chapter as its Executive Director in October 2010. During her career she has worked and consulted for a number of non-profits and for-profits where she significantly contributed to their growth by raising their public profiles, geographic foot print and relevance within their respective industries. In her roles she has worked with clients and partners across the US, in Europe, Latin America and Asia.
Yvonne grew up in Germany, and she sees herself as a European and is dedicated to the idea that Europe needs to think, act and be regarded as one entity. In her role at the EACC she focuses on furthering an active transatlantic discourse and to engage the business communities on both sides in a meaningful dialog and exchange of ideas.
Yvonne works closely with the EACC board and colleagues in the other EACC chapters on a variety of initiatives to keep the organization dynamic, relevant and forward-looking.
Her priority is to create value for its membership and help grow the organization and its influence on both sides of the Atlantic. To that extend she is spearheading EACC’s international expansion strategy and is working with partners across the U.S. and Europe to identify & develop suitable locations and collaborators to expand the EACC chapter network
Memberships & Affiliations:
Mrs. Bendinger-Rothschild is a member of the United Nations Business Sector Steering Committee on Financing for Development. She is a fellow at the Tribeca Disruptor Foundation and a member of the Corporate Advisory Committee at International Property Tax Institute (IPTI) and the Transatlantic Business & Investment Council [TBIC]; She is also a member of the Economic Club of New York.
Education: Mrs. Bendinger-Rothschild is a graduate of the University of Applied Science in Ludwigshafen, Germany where she earned a Master of Business Administration with a focus on Marketing and Controlling/Finance.
She is fluent in German and English, has a working knowledge of French and basic skills in Spanish
Matt McDevitt, Membership Associate
Matt joined the European-American Chamber of Commerce as Membership Associate in November, 2019 after graduating from Trinity College in Hartford, CT in May, 2019. At Trinity, Matt studied Art History and German Studies, studying abroad in Vienna, Austria and writing his Senior Honors Thesis on Gerhard Richter’s fifteen-painting cycle, October 18, 1977.
He has previously worked as an intern in the Marketing & Social Media and Development Departments at the Barnes Foundation in Philadelphia, PA, a museum for Post-Impressionist art. Matt is excited to begin his career in the world of international trade.
Education: Matt has a BA in Art History and German Studies from Trinity College in Hartford, CT. He speaks German and English
Femke Hartog, Director Programs & Communication
Femke Hartog joined the European American Chamber of Commerce New York Chapter (EACCNY) as its Director Programs & Communication in November 2019.
Femke´s work focuses on program development and member event services such as seminars, conferences, and panel discussions to educate EACCNY members and their European and American business community.
In her career, Femke has been responsible for corporate networking events from inception through execution. She has also been involved in firm representation at conferences, seminars and trade shows. As a Business Development Manager, she has developed marketing materials and created website content. In her early career, in The Netherlands, she worked at the Department of Communications of the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport, where she was involved in community communications. During her tenure at the Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality, she developed policy documents and advised the State Secretary on policy communications.
Education: Mrs. Hartog has a Master’s Degree in Biology from Utrecht University in The Netherlands, and is fluent in Dutch and English with intermediate skills in German.
