INVITATION ONLY | Private Discussion with Pierre Moscovici, First President of the French Court of Audit

EACCNY is organizing a dinner discussion with Pierre Moscovici, First President of the French Cour des Comptes to exchange views on the current state of affairs in France and Europe and their effects on the economy and the transatlantic relationship and how it may be affected by the most recent elections in France.

GUEST OF HONOR:

Pierre Moscovici, is the former EU Commissioner for Economic & Financial Affairs, Taxation & Customs, he has been the First President of the French supreme body for auditing the use of public spending since 2020.



His institution is independent from the Government and Parliament. It is in charge of auditing public accounts, as well as contributing to the evaluation of public policies.

He was also elected Chairman of the Panel of External Auditors at the 63rd Panel Session, held at the United Nations headquarters in New York at the end of 2023.

Mr. Moscovici can look back to an illustrious career in public service, for France and Europe. Among other roles, he was the French Minister of the Economy and Finance, Vice-President of the European Parliament, the French Minister in charge of European Affairs and Head of Department for public service modernization and financial resources at France's High Committee for Strategic Planning.

Considering his well-rounded background, Mr. Moscovici will be able to share insights on both, French and European economic and political affairs as well as their impact on the transatlantic partnership.
