About Us

About Us

The European American Chamber of Commerce is a unique platform where Europeans & Americans Connect to do Business.

The European American Chamber of Commerce® provides its members with access to transatlantic business opportunities as well as timely and relevant information, resources and support on matters affecting business activities between Europe and the US.

The goal of the EACC’s New York Chapter (EACCNY) is to stimulate business development, and to facilitate networking and relationships between European and American businesses & professional organizations.

The EACCNY’s local audience in New York is comprised of major organizations in the financial services, legal area, media, professional services/ consulting industry, manufacturing, retail, real estate, international trade and other business sectors represented in the Tri-State area, who are eager to learn about business opportunities and the latest developments and in the trans-Atlantic economy.

Who We Are

The EACCNY is a private and independent 501(c)6 Non-Profit organization with affiliates in Paris, Lyon & Toulouse France, the EACC Netherlands, Cincinnati, OH, the Carolinas and Princeton, NJ and expansion plans for other US and EU cities.
The EACC is a dynamic network of transatlantic business executives with a combined membership of about 750 member companies in Europe and the US.

We look back on a long tradition that started 1926 with the formation of the Paris branch, initially as the French-American Chamber of Commerce and renamed to the European American Chamber of Commerce in 2003.  The Cincinnati chapter was formed in 2007 as the first of its kind in the US Market with the New York chapter following suit in 2008, Princeton NJ in 2009, Lyon France in 2013, the Carolinas & Southwest France in 2016 and the Netherlands in 2019.  Since its inception the EACC has built a network of major players in the transatlantic business community that reaches over 10,000 executives in the US and across Europe. We open doors for our members across our chapter network on both sides of the Atlantic.

Our Raison d’être

“If we open a quarrel between past and present , then we shall find that we have lost the future” – Winston Churchill

A message from our Founder, Maurice Marchand-Tonel:Key decisions today, corporate and government , can only be based on educated judgment. Judgment must be based on good information and sentiment derived from dialogue with other respected decision-makers. This is precisely what the EACC is all about. Based on a common history , the same values and the same challenges, Europe and the US are in this together.”

Why YOUR organisation should become part of the EACC Network

The European American Chamber of Commerce opens up business opportunities across all of Europe for US companies & provides access to the US Market for European companies.
If you are active in the transatlantic corridor you want to be part of our network. We offer:

  • Transatlantic Relations & Business Opportunities
  • Trade & Investment Resources
  • Business Insights & Thought Leadership
  • Networking & Connections

The EACC NY hosts a variety of educational seminars, panel discussions and roundtables to educate its members and the wider New York business community on matters relevant to doing business on both sides of the Atlantic.

Our Unique Model

The EACC-NY has developed an infrastructure for high-level member engagement that is supported by focused committeeshosted by our members. These committees bring together members with similar interests to organize educational events, panel discussions, workshops to focused group discussion.

Our committee structure is mutually beneficial as it allows our members to be involved and active in the organization and the EACCNY to adapt to the needs of its members.
