Female scholars in the European Union are welcome to apply for the Women Enhancing Technology (WeTech®) Juniper Europe Internship and Scholarship. Through WeTech, Juniper Networks invests in building the global pipeline of women in STEM by providing scholarships to female STEM students in Europe. This is the first time the WeTech Juniper Internship and Scholarship will be open to every country in the European Union.
IIE and Juniper will award paid internship opportunities and scholarship support to two female scholars studying Computer Science, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Networking, or a related field. Scholars must be current full time undergraduates or graduate students at accredited universities in the European Union. Winners will complete paid internships at Juniper Networks’ Amsterdam office in 2018 to gaining real-world experience and exposure to a leading multinational technology company. After completing their internship, Scholars will receive a scholarship to be used at their home institution for tuition or other related academic costs. Application deadline is January 26, 2018. WeTech believes that providing young women university scholarships for degrees in the ICT sector has tremendous impact on their retention and success rate in their chosen field, at a time when the global tech industry desperately needs more women educated, trained and entering into ICT careers. Combining financial support with internships gives women an important opportunity to gain real world experience, access to role models and mentors, and enhanced technical skills.
