Funding is available for projects that strengthen dialogues on a wide range of issues, including the continuation of the consumer dialogue, a transatlantic development and humanitarian dialogue with a special focus on the security nexus in development, and a transatlantic environmental dialogue focusing on energy issues and climate change. All shall involve a broad set of stakeholders and complement the political process.Activities under this proposal take place between January 2013 and May 2014, target civil society in the EU and US, take place on both sides of the Atlantic and involve EU/US partner organizations.The European Union and the United States enjoy a long-standing, comprehensive partnership based on common values. They are each others most important trading partner, but transatlantic cooperation goes well beyond economic issues to address common challenges. This call for proposals facilitates the exchange of knowledge on issues of mutual interest to the EU and US.
