Macedonia is an up-and-coming business destination in Europe and offers exciting opportunities for business development and for tapping into the regional markets in Southeast Europe and beyond.  The country’s trade with the US is growing rapidly and US companies like Johnson Controls, Alliance One International, Kemet and Wabtec are investing in Greenfield and Brownfield operations in the country.  It has received a number of accolades for its business-friendly environment by the World Bank, the Wall Street Journal and Forbes Magazine. Macedonia is also becoming an attractive tourist destination, being named “One of the 10 Hottest Destinations for 2011” by CNBC Magazine, and “One of the Best Places to Go in 2010” by The New York Times.
