GRANITO and the Golden Apple

EACCNY Member Granito Advisory Services is pleased to announce that its CEO, Ruthann Granito, is the winner of the prestigious Golden Apple – Mela D’oro  2014 Award for her commitment on an  international basis to women  in leadership roles.

The award was created by the Honorable Lella Golfo, now world famous for causing the laws within Europe to change and require equality for women to sit on Boards of publically traded companies.

This pre-eminent Award commenced in 1989 in memory of Marisa Bellisario, a former President of Olivetti Corporation of America and recognizes women who have distinguished themselves in their personal and professional career at both a national and international level; and in recognition that the Award recipient is qualified to join the increasing number of women taking Board of Director positions on publically traded companies.

The event, which every year has the support of the President of Italy, has Honorary Committee members of the highest profile within various industrial and cultural sectors.

The Award will be delivered during the XXVI edition of Premio Marisa Bellisario “Donne ad alta quota”, at the Rai TV studio in Rome. The ceremony will be transmitted on Raidue on June 27th.
