How Did Study Abroad Impact Your Career

The survey, part of IIE’s Generation Study Abroad, will be conducted in collaboration with Study Partners: American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (AACRAO), National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE), AIFS, CIEE, IES Abroad, and ISEP.

This study aims to provide evidence of what is otherwise assumed anecdotally about the role study abroad plays in developing competencies for the 21st century job market. The study will employ a two-stage mixed methods approach to gather both quantitative and qualitative data and will be shared widely with the international education field and with policy makers.

We would appreciate if you put a description in your newsletter and shared with your network.  It’s a short 6-minute survey!

Eligibility: To best assess skills that are most valued in today’s job market, study abroad alumni must have studied abroad during or after the 1999/00 academic year, while seeking an undergraduate or graduate degree from a U.S. higher education institution.
The online study abroad survey will take place from April 10th to May 10th, 2017.  The final report and its findings will be shared at IIE’s Summit in October 2017.
