1911 – 2011
2011 marks a special year for us. Exactly one hundred years ago,
Mr. D.W. Stibbe set up his practice as an independent lawyer on one of Amsterdam’s most notable canals, Herengracht in Amsterdam. His small practice has become a full-service firm with 196 lawyers and civil-law notaries. We spread our wings across the borders. For many years now, we have worked in close cooperation with Stibbe Brussels, and we opened offices in London, New York, Dubai and – recently – in Luxembourg. Our alliance with Herbert Smith and Gleiss Lutz guarantees that we can act for our clients across the globe.

Much has changed since 1911, but our main goal has always remained the same: to help our clients at the highest possible quality level in their most complex and challenging legal issues, with advice that is both pragmatic and to the point. It will continue to be our goal in the future too.
