Round Table Conference on the new Dutch Flex-BV Act

It is our pleasure to invite you to a Round Table Conference on the new Dutch Flex-BV Act, to be held on Thursday, November 1, 2012 co-sponsored by EACCNY member Stibbe.

On October 1, 2012, the so-called Flex-BV Act has entered into force, implementing important changes to the Dutch law applicable to private companies with limited liability (‘BVs’) like yours. With the ease and flexibility created by the Flex-BV Act, the Netherlands will strengthen its position as the European jurisdiction of choice. In combination with the attractive Dutch corporate tax system, the broad double taxation and bilateral investment treaty network, this flexibility provides a unique proposition for establishing companies in the Netherlands.

This Round Table Conference on the new Flex-BV Act is being jointly organized by the Netherlands Foreign Investment Agency (www.nfia.com) and the Dutch law firm Stibbe (www.stibbe.com) and will deal with the implications and opportunities for current and potential U.S. investors in the Netherlands. The NFIA is an operational unit of the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs that is dedicated to helping international foreign direct investors succeed in Europe and the Netherlands.

One of the Netherlands’ most respected professors in corporate governance, Barbara Bier, Chair Professor Corporate Law and Corporate Governance at Nyenrode University and former partner of Stibbe, will be the keynote speaker at this event. We look forward to welcoming you.
