Super Lawyers & Best Lawyers 2013 to Include Pepper Hamilton Partners

Partners of EACCNY founding Member Pepper Hamilton John F. Brenner, Paul W. Hespel, Kenneth J. King, Richard J. Reibstein, James D. Rosener (also the president of the EACCNY) and Ira M. Schulman have been selected for inclusion on the 2012 New York – Metro Super Lawyers list.

A statewide survey of lawyers who have been in practice for at least five years leads to the nomination of the best attorneys they have personally observed in action. Candidates are also added from searches by an attorney-led research staff for those who have attained certain honors or achievements. A research department examines the background and experience of each candidate.

Point totals are calculated from the balloting and qualitative evaluation steps. Candidates are grouped according to primary area of practice. Members of a blue ribbon panel, selected from those with high point totals, review a list of candidates from their practice area.

Final candidates are those with the highest point totals from each category. Only 5 percent of the total lawyers in the state are selected.

Ira M. Schulman also has been named to the 2013 edition of The Best Lawyers in America®, a referral guide of lawyers identified by their peers as being the best at what they do.

First published in 1983, Best Lawyers is based on an annual peer-review survey. The current edition is based on a national survey in which more than 36,000 leading attorneys cast almost 4.4 million votes on the legal abilities of other lawyers. Lawyers are not required or allowed to pay a fee for a basic listing in Best Lawyers.
