EACCNY is organising a private discussion with Annika Eriksgaard, Director for International Economic Relations and Global Governance, DG ECFIN at the European Commission with insights directly from the field.

Guests will get an update on how the EU’s and US policies supporting Ukraine financially and reining in Russia’s aggression have worked so far.

AGENDA topics will include:
• The level of international cooperation both economically as well as politically in support of Ukraine
• Are sanctions working - what else can be done economically to prevent Russia to fuel its war machine?
• The impact of the war on Ukraine and its neighboring countries, incl. the EU, on Russia and other major world economies (both on the humanitarian and economic side)
• Looking ahead, what will it take to rebuild Ukraine? (Impact of the war on the Ukrainian economy, political situation on the ground, corruption…)
